Annotated typescript for an unpublished novel about a young man from South Carolina who studies at a small college in upstate New York after spending two years in the Pacific during World War II. During the winter he becomes involved with a group of people who introduce him to a new way of thinking and acting. As a result he finds his life nearly "corrupted."
